In the world of Nursing, the extent of giving the best quality of care and how we can improve to cope up with the changes happening is the great contribution we can share in our chosen field. We cannot just stay still when the world is beginning to develop because for as long as we can compete with these changes, the effectiveness and efficiency of care will maintain its standards and the view of clients with our service will not diminish. 

       One of the changes and improvement in the nursing, or should I say medical field is the use of Health Care Informatics.  Why is it important? Well, there are many contributing factors and advantages the knowledge on health care informatics we can acquire. The quality of care will reach high standards because the technology will make our work easier, faster, reliable and effective if done in proper way. Machines and applications of computer programs, Software and Hardware as combined with nursing care will extent the capacity to gather, evaluate and transmit medical information and ideas.  Learning the use of health care informatics can lead nurses in faster evaluation and treatment of the client. Computer-based files and records that are already stored in the system will make faster assessment in admitting patients. Client's medical history taking and assessment will take less time. These are basic examples the health care informatics can share if we have knowledge in using it. Not only we can acquire the best outcome in client's care and treatment but also the competencies as nurses will develop and improve in ways that we cannot even imagine. 

          For as long as we are open to changes and improvement, the quality of nursing care will not subside. Because change is inevitable the only thing we can do is to follow through with the changes happening. Using Health Care Informatics is one of these changes and it sure offers the generation of nursing care a truly remarkable great outcome.
